Ronald Reagan Fought Against Socialized Medicine

by admin on July 22, 2009

Socialized Medicine will be the end of Private Health Care Insurance

I know this is a bit long as far as videos go but amazingly this war against private health care insurance by the forces socialized medicine has been fought over many years. I myself thought it was just back in 93 during the Clinton administration that this was such a big issue but it seems that it stretches way back even beyond this speech by Reagan.

It seems to be a favorite tactic of the dark forces of the left to take over a people. As he expresses in the video Ronald Reagan states that Americans will reject socialism out right but when it is presented as liberalism they will accept it.

It is truly amazing that Obama while touting this plan as so needed in our society these days is not even read it! It further goes to prove that Obama and his henchmen are not out to help anyone in this country but to just gather unto themselves as much power as they possibly can. They couch it in platitudes as to help the middle class and the poor which all sounds very laudable. I believe they are true intention is to destroy the engine that makes this country work. That engine being the productivity of the mind of man.

Ayn Rand completely dissects what is happening today in Atlas Shrugged. Unfortunately I don’t see people ducking out of society yet. Will it happen? Who knows. Lets hope we will all be able to keep our private health care insurance.

The ‘dark forces of the left’? This isn’t Harry Potter. You have a Democratic president, who was democratically elected – and by a huge majority. So your language, which implies you are living in a dictatorship, could not be more ridiculous. The fact that Obama is making decisions you personally disagree with is your tough luck. Your post is unpatriotic.

I live in a country where I will never need health insurance. The guy who sells newspapers on the corner of my street, and who cannot make much money, is as entitled to healthcare from our national health system as I am. So is the CEO of the company who occupy the big shiny office across the street. I can, if I want, take out private health insurance for private healthcare. But I don’t have to. It sounds like Obama is trying to accomplish nothing more sinister than this – the ability of those without personal means to take care of themselves. The US has the worst healthcare system, and its citizens the worst health, of any developed nation. How can you want things to stand as they are?

That is ignorance; that shows a lack of patriotism.

Open your mind – listen to your president. Listen to the arguments. Truly put yourselves in the position of others. Don’t scaremonger. And you might just end up with something better than what you had.

It’s unpatriotic to disagree?

52% to 48% is not a huge majority.

Tough luck means I cannot voice my opinion?

So we here in the USA should cede power to government bureaucrats and allow them to decide if we warrant getting the care we desire or need?

I’m glad you are happy with your health care in your country. I’m happy with what I have here. I also think that the health care costs here would be much lower if the government got out of it completely and stopped mandating coverage for things that shouldn’t be insured such as checkups and the like. Things people can pay out of their own pocket for. I don’t buy car insurance to pay for gas and have oil changes and maintenance done on my car. It is for emergencies and accidents.

Ignorance according to who? You? Lack of patriotism? Might I suggest the true patriot is the one who defends the constitution and I defy you to find in OUR constitution where there is any suggestion that the US government is obligated, mandated or otherwise allowed to confiscate money from the hard work of the citizens of this great nation to give to others that a politician or bureaucrat deem are more deserving.
